Welcome to the Northallerton & District Summer Darts League. Throughout this site you will discover information about the League, its history and the teams that compete in the League. There is also up to date league tables as well as competition details and individual player performance stats.
The NSDL is run from April/May until September ready for the NDDL and Northallerton Club League which are run each winter. The League is open to any public house, hotel, or club within a five mile radius of Northallerton with the League & cup matches being played on a Monday night. This year's league will consist of 10 teams each playing 9 home and 9 away fixtures, finishing with a Finals & Presentation Night at the end of the season, held at the Working Men's Club, Northallerton.
Each league game consists of 6 individual’s games followed by 3 pair’s games. The games are played on a “Yorkshire Board” which unlike a standard dartboard contains no trebles ring or outer bull (25). The games start and end on a double and are played down from 501 in individuals and 701 in the doubles games.
The League was first formed back in 1992 and has run on and off ever since. This year will be the 8)th year running that the league has been in operation under the current committee and it shows no signs of stopping with the largest number of registered players and team we have ever had. Previous winners of the league trophy include The Fleece, The Sportsman’s and the current trophy holders, The Oddfellows Arms who have won the league for the past 7 years.
All in all, last season proved hugely successful and many thanks goes to all teams & players that participated in last season’s league. We look forward to the 2017 season and extend a warm welcome to all new teams & players entering the league for the first time.
